Last year, SocialWorks presented their inaugural Black History Month Film Festival! Every Friday and Saturday in February, at Studio Movie Grill’s Chatham location, SocialWorks invited families, friends, and supporters to enjoy some of our favorite Black History films! The movies included: “The Wiz”; “Malcolm X” and “Ali,” as well as an advanced screening of “Shot in the Dark” with a panel discussion featuring Chance and the players of Orr High School’s elite basketball team! We also celebrated the premiere of “Black Panther” by providing giveaways to anyone who showed their movie ticket. And the best part was that people could give back. Using SMGCHANCE, $1.50 was donated to SocialWorks, helping empower through the arts, education and civic engagement.

This year looks to be just as exciting!
