As you approach graduation, balancing academics, extracurriculars, and personal life can be overwhelming. This is why prioritizing mental health is crucial. Stress, anxiety, and burnout are common, but addressing these challenges can help you thrive both academically and personally. By practicing self-care, seeking support when needed, and maintaining healthy relationships, you can build resilience.

This is why My State of Mind was created! With the increasing need for access to mental health services, in 2019, SocialWorks embarked on the My State of Mind (MSOM) initiative—a free website where Chicagoans can research, explore, and contact wellness programs throughout Chicago and Cook County.

Within the website, you can:

  1. Search based on Services – The type of way the program is facilitated
  2. Search based on Specialities – The obstacles you want to overcome
  3. Search based on location via Neighborhoods or zip codes
  4. Search based on Culture – A life experience or developmental ability related to you
  5. Search based on Payment
  6. Search based on Age
  7. Search based on Amenities – A desirable feature available
  8. Search based on Language

Remember, mental health is as important as physical health. Don’t hesitate to speak with counselors, teachers, or trusted adults for guidance. Your mental well-being is key to your success now and in the future. Take care of your mind, and you’ll be better equipped to handle the exciting yet challenging path ahead!

To date, My State of Mind has over 2.9k wellness programs ranging in the modalities of technology, movement, mindfulness, community, arts, and clinical practices. MSOM Launch Week is a website showcasing the wellness available to you and intends to be a tool for your healing journey.
