You Can Explore The Museum Of Science And Industry After Hours During Chance The Rapper Charity Event

HYDE PARK — Families can explore the Museum of Science and Industry after it closes during a charity event on Thursday.
The event, dubbed A Night at the Museum, will benefit SocialWorks, a charity started by Chance the Rapper to empower Chicago kids. Attendees will be able to explore the museum’s exhibits, participate in special activities and giveaways and donate to help people experiencing homelessness. Chance will also speak at the event.
Attendees are encouraged to bring “warming items” like a blanket or coat or other items that can be given to people in need, like toys, according to a SocialWorks news release. The charity hopes it can surpass the number of items it collected at last year’s event — about 18,000 — during this week’s Night at the Museum.
The event is 6-10 p.m. Thursday at the Museum of Science and Industry, 5700 S. Lake Shore Drive. Single tickets are $10 and a four-pack of tickets is $30. Tickets can be bought online.
