At SocialWorks, we believe in the transformative power of creativity, faith, and service. Nowhere is that belief more evident than in our Kids of the Kingdom (K.O.K.) summer camp—an immersive, faith-based experience designed to empower youth ages 5 to 13 through performing and literary arts. As we prepare for another enriching season of K.O.K., we invite passionate, energetic, and compassionate individuals to apply for the vital role of K.O.K. Camp Counselor.
Kids of the Kingdom is more than just a summer camp. It's a vibrant learning community where children explore creative disciplines—ranging from choral performance and creative writing to field trips and service projects—all grounded in spiritual values. Our 2025 program is designed to help children grow spiritually, socially, and creatively through an exciting mix of classes, activities, and field trips. From sports to music, mentorship to Bible lessons, every part of our camp is crafted with care to nurture the whole child. Kids of the Kingdom originated at Emerald Avenue Church of God in Chicago, Illinois in 1978 by Gladys Bennett. This baton has now been passed to Chancelor Bennett (Chance The Rapper) carries the mission, with SocialWorks, into future generations. With all the obstacles that inner city youth must overcome, exposure to the arts curriculum provides a lifeline which results in lasting improvements through their adulthood.

Counselors bring the heart of the camp’s mission to life through direct interaction with children. From leading activities to fostering group unity and modeling values of compassion and respect, K.O.K. Camp Counselors play a critical role in shaping an unforgettable summer for our youth.
